BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Special interest magazine publisher Hoffman Media, LLC has launched a new magazine that celebrates the beautiful lifestyle surrounding the birth or adoption through the first four years of a child’s life. Titled Southern Baby, the quarterly magazine has the same feel and quality photography as sister publications Southern Lady and TeaTime. Targeted to parents and expectant parents as well as grandparents throughout the nation, its emphasis has a decidedly Southern twist.
“From the nursery to the christening gown, everything must be perfect for our little bundles of joy,” says Hoffman president Phyllis Hoffman. “Southern Baby is intended to serve as a sourcebook for parents to heighten the experience and enhance the memories of those first few years that come only once in a child’s life.”
Editor Barbara Cockerham adds that each issue will contain shopping information for everything from luxury playhouses to choosing the right photographer as well as informative features on decorating an exquisite nursery and celebrating memorable moments in a child’s life. “These stories will share space with tips for the expectant or new mother on finding the right spa treatments and planning a baby shower.”
The magazine is available by annual subscription ($15.98) at 888-411-8995 and nationally through magazine, book and grocery retailers ($4.99 per issue).
Southern Baby is the eighth title published by Hoffman Media, LLC, based in Birmingham, Alabama. The company, which expects revenues in excess of $14 million this year, also publishes Southern Lady, TeaTime, Taste of the South, Red Hat Society LifeStyle, Sew Beautiful, Just CrossStitch and Sampler & Antique Needlework Quarterly magazines.
