The River Bend
by Eric W. Pelkey

The restless trees
Blown by autumn wind
The river winds at the bend

A plague of white
Brought by winter wind
The river slows at the bend

A drink of life
Pushed by spring wind
The river deepens at the bend

A thrash of heat
Carried by summer wind
The river shallows at the bend

A year has passed
Traveled by seasons wind
The river flows at the bend

Eric writes: "I am from Tennessee, and right now I am in the U.S. Army. I heard about this site from a friend, so I thought I would submit something. Thank you for your time."
