          THE SHADOW OF YOUR BREATH
          by Eddie Edwards Draper

          My morning walk
          Your shadow follows me
          One step ahead
          One longing left behind

          Missings are only beginnings
And loss is just a step beyond
          Peril shows no remorse
          Upon its morning glow
Sidewalk cracks don't frighten me anymore
As I stroll, even your shadow has a breath

I still feel your hand in mine
          Walking side by side
          The falling leaves
          'Neath October feet
          Tho' we're not together
          I still feel your memories
And I can feel the shadow of your breath
I will always feel the shadow of your breath
